1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By installing, accessing, or using FreeTrialReminder ("the Extension," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

FreeTrialReminder is a Chrome browser extension that helps users:

• Track free trial subscriptions and their expiration dates
• Receive notifications when trials are ending
• Optionally create Gmail drafts or send cancellation emails
• Manage trial information and settings

3. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Extension. By using the Extension, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. LICENSE AND RESTRICTIONS

4.1 License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Extension for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

4.2 Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use the Extension for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
• Use the Extension to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Extension

5. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

5.1 Your Google Account

If you choose to enable Gmail integration:

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account
• You grant the Extension permission to access Gmail on your behalf
• You can revoke this access at any time through Google Account settings
• You are responsible for all emails sent using the Extension

5.2 Trial Information

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate trial information (service names, dates, email addresses)
• Verifying that trials have been successfully cancelled
• Keeping your own records of trial subscriptions
• Complying with the terms and conditions of each service you trial

6. GMAIL API USAGE

6.1 Optional Feature

Gmail integration is entirely optional. The Extension works without Gmail access in "Manual Mode."

6.2 Your Authorization

By connecting Gmail, you authorize the Extension to:

• Create email drafts in your Gmail account (Draft Mode)
• Send emails from your Gmail account (Auto-Send Mode)

6.3 Your Control

You acknowledge that:

• All emails are sent using YOUR Gmail account
• YOU are responsible for the content and delivery of these emails
• You can review email templates before enabling Auto-Send
• You can revoke Gmail access at any time

6.4 Compliance

Our use of Gmail APIs complies with Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. PRIVACY

Your use of the Extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do NOT warrant that:

• The Extension will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Cancellation emails will always be delivered successfully
• The Extension will prevent all charges from trial subscriptions
• All features will work with all email providers or trial services
• Data will never be lost (though we store locally on your device)

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any charges, fees, or costs incurred from trial subscriptions
• Failed cancellation attempts or undelivered emails
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Extension

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED $5.00 USD.

10. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Extension developers and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Extension
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any emails sent using the Extension on your behalf

11. MODIFICATIONS TO THE SERVICE

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time
• Change features, functionality, or appearance
• Require updated versions of the Extension
• Limit or restrict access to certain features

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

12. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top
• We will notify users through the Extension (for significant changes)
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

13. TERMINATION

13.1 By You

You may stop using the Extension at any time by:

• Uninstalling the Extension from Chrome
• Revoking Gmail access (if enabled) through Google Account settings

13.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason, with or without notice.

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your license to use the Extension ends immediately
• All locally stored data will be deleted when you uninstall
• Sections 8-11 and 14-18 of these Terms survive termination

14. NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

The Extension does not provide legal, financial, or professional advice. You should consult with appropriate professionals regarding:

• Your rights and obligations under subscription agreements
• Consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction
• Proper cancellation procedures for specific services

15. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Extension may interact with third-party services (like Gmail and subscription services). We are not responsible for:

• The availability, accuracy, or reliability of third-party services
• Third-party terms of service or privacy policies
• Any actions taken by third-party services
• Changes to third-party APIs or services

16. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Extension, including all code, design, graphics, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written permission.

17. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

17.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of [YOUR_JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict of law provisions.

17.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Extension shall be resolved through:

18.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

18.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

18.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

19. OPEN SOURCE

The Extension may include open source software components. Such components are governed by their respective licenses, which are available in the Extension's documentation.

20. EXPORT COMPLIANCE

You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations when using the Extension.
